I am originally from UK and I was fortunate enough to emigrate to New Zealand in 2002. I still pinch myself on a regular basis that this beautiful country is actually now my home.  I spent many of my teen years in Hong Kong which offered me a great ‘school of life experience’. I left there aged 17 having mentioned to my parents that I may like to work with children and found myself training as a Nursery Nurse in England. This turned out to be one of those experiences that I can now look back on and see that it has been the foundation for much of what I have done and achieved.

Much of my early work focused on premature babies or children in nursery schools. I later added to my challenges in life when I joined the Samaritans, (a suicide help line) where I worked as a team leader and as the Deputy Director of my local branch. Eventually my curiosity got the better of me as I wondered what brought people to the place where they sought solace in the voice of a stranger and I studied for a degree in social policy which included a volunteer role with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

My work post degree was as a Domestic Violence support worker and eventually as a Family Mediator in a leading law firm. During this time I also studied part time over a 3 years period for a Diploma in Shiatsu and also became a Reiki Master.

Over the years and from all my experiences I have come to know that real success comes from working with all aspects of a person, of making the body, mind and spirit connection.

On arriving in NZ I took some time out as my husband and I explored living on a lifestyle block with llamas, although eventually moving to a more manageable home that allows us to explore a variety of things.  We are the proud parents of two adult children, my daughter and her two children live in Australia. Our son, daughter-in-law and their three children live close by, I love being a grandmother to my five gorgeous grandchildren.

I enjoy writing, I scribble a page of ramblings each morning on waking. I have a diploma in Creative Writing which helped me discover many aspects of the written word. I am extremely proud to now call myself a published author with my book  Sky Full Of Stars - Penpals Across a Century.

I have enjoyed exploring many avenues and love to learn new things, including PSYCH-K,  Australian Bush Flowers Essences and the use of Essential oils for health and wellness. I now feel I have a wonderful balance in my work and I can call on many resources in a healing session as I work with the needs of the person I am with.

My personal interests are full and varied. I enjoy walking my dogs, looking after my grandchildren, sharing time with family and friends.  I am an avid reader of a huge variety of books, test my own penmanship and love to feed my soul with a variety of music.
